Since we opened our doors in 2010, our objective, other than creating unique toys that kids love, has been to produce goods and conduct business in a way that enhances the natural world in which we exist. By minimizing waste, using sustainable and local lumber, and using 100% non-toxic products for finishing (if any finishing product is used), we make every effort to make our impact on the environment a positive one.

WASTE, or lack thereof: 
From product design to manufacturing, marketing to packaging, we minimize waste by finding new uses for scrap material, reusing every bit of shipping material we can find, composting our sawdust, and using energy efficient lighting and manufacturing techniques in our shop. We’re proud of the fact that it literally can take weeks or more until we fill up a single 30 gallon garbage bag. And, our favorite way of minimizing waste is by creating toys that will last for generations!

SUSTAINABLE LUMBER 
When sourcing materials we only choose sustainable lumber that is grown in the Midwest, and for limited edition items we will occasionally use scrap from local furniture makers (provided it is completely unfinished, raw lumber).

NON-TOXIC Everything 
The only finishing product we use is our custom blend of Certified Organic Oils and 100% natural Beeswax.  This ensures that our toys are not only extremely safe for children, but safe for the environment. In fact, if you accidentally walked into our shop, picked up one of our finishing cloths and rubbed it all over your skin, the health of your skin would actually improve!  

USE OF 100% RENEWABLE WIND ENERGY!
All of the energy that powers our office, warehouse, and shop, comes from 100% WIND POWER!
